A ceremony for every occasion

Working with me

Many celebrants describe themselves as bubbly, outgoing, and full of personality—which can be wonderful traits. But through experience, I’ve come to believe that one of the most important qualities a celebrant can offer is adaptability.

Not every couple is outgoing or extroverted. Some are quiet, thoughtful, and prefer a more understated ceremony. As a celebrant, it's my role to reflect them - not myself.

The same principle applies to Funerals and Celebrations of Life. These services are deeply personal, and it’s my responsibility to create a ceremony that honours both the wishes of the family and the life of the person being remembered. Sensitivity and flexibility are key -especially in situations where, for example, the deceased may not have been religious, but the family is.

This journey has been as meaningful as it has been transformative, and I look forward to sharing more of it with you.

With a broad understanding of various forms of prayer, poetry, and service styles, I am able to offer suggestions that respectfully balance differing beliefs and preferences - helping families find common ground during an emotionally difficult time.

While some families move through funeral planning with clarity, for many, it is a period marked by grief, stress, confusion, and a seemingly endless list of decisions that need to be made - often very quickly. The phone doesn’t stop ringing, and the emotional weight can feel overwhelming.

My role is to provide calm in the chaos—to bring a sense of order, reassurance, and support throughout the entire process. From the big decisions to the smallest details, I’m here to answer every question, including the ones you may think are a little silly or weird.

  • “Where should we park for the funeral?”

  • “Is there reserved seating for family?”

One family member once told me, “I have no idea what I’m doing or what’s going to happen.” That’s exactly why I’m here - to gently guide you through every step, ensuring nothing is overlooked and no one feels alone in the process.

In collaboration with your Funeral Director, I will help coordinate the service, brief those who will be speaking, and check in with them on the day to ensure they feel prepared and supported.

It’s my privilege to walk alongside families during these sacred and significant moments, bringing compassion, clarity, and care to every service.

For all services, I ensure guests are where they are meant to be. I check in with those who are stepping up to the microphone, check they are comfortable, offer support and suggestions prior and on the day.
